I hadn't really thought about it favoring Seb -- but you're right, it really dwells on his perspective, even when Mia's is more relevant. Like when her one-woman show tanks, we spend as much time with Seb fidgeting about not being able to be there to support her than Mia's dreams crumbling. Pretty interesting point.

(Also your thought on "Take on Me" outliving this soundtrack made me laugh out loud, and is definitely true.)dan shttp://thegoodsreviews.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4633480297352890314.post-57162251514417157792017-01-07T06:41:26.039-11:002017-01-07T06:41:26.039-11:00Yeah, I feel like all those news articles misspell...Yeah, I feel like all those news articles misspelled "LOUIS Armstrong."

And I'm really not the type to watch movies multiple times in the theater, but in the case of my number 1 of the year, I tend to. I saw Mad Max 3 times for sure. And The Babadook twice. You're Next maybe 4. Come to think of it, that's probably an important criterion for landing that slot.Brennanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15399713449347559869noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4633480297352890314.post-4161079511520104752017-01-06T20:43:42.551-11:002017-01-06T20:43:42.551-11:00Yeah, "distribution" is the succinct way...Yeah, "distribution" is the succinct way to put it, though it's the distribution of *choreography,* rather than music, per se, for me.

But then, I didn't go see it THREE TIMES. That's a lot, my friend.

Although I'm not immune to such things. I could be so easily talked into seeing Moana again, it's kind of sad. Otherwise, the only movie I've ever seen three times in the theater was Gravity. Which is a good segue to mention Chazelle and Gosling's next project together, which will apparently be a Neil Armstrong biopic. And if it is NOT a musical set on the fucking moon, then I am FUCKING BOYCOTTING.Hunter Allenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10925220178171355473noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4633480297352890314.post-27055375281182487322017-01-06T05:59:22.483-11:002017-01-06T05:59:22.483-11:00I agree! I wholeheartedly love this movie, but there are JUST enough flaws in the pacing and the overall distribution of music that I can't 100% commit to a 10/10.Brennanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15399713449347559869noreply@blogger.com
